Art Adventure Needs You!

K-8 Art Adventure Program 2018-2019

Dear Salem Families,

Salem is again participating in the Art Adventure Program through the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. We are VERY excited to be studying and touring the Museum’s upcoming Exhibit, “ Egypt’s Sunken Cities”. Because of the Popularity of this exhibit, we are being limited to only 10 volunteers. Those names have to be in place by the end of next week(September 28) so that on October 1, the museum can release the unused training spots to other schools.

The training is at the MIA on October 30 and 31 and November 1, from 10 am-12. Jennifer Bye and Elaine Kannas are both going on the 31st and would welcome carpooling with anyone if you would feel more comfortable getting to and from the museum as a group. There is also a training session on November 1 from 5-7 if the 31st does not work for you.

You DO NOT have to have an extensive background in Ancient History or Art History to participate in this! People from all walks of life help out as a volunteer and the museum provides AWESOME training. Jennifer and Elaine would love to have you join them in this exciting project!

PLEASE let either Jennifer Bye or Elaine Kannas know if you are interested. Remember the deadline to let us know is FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28.

Thank you for your time and consideration!
