Next Year Update I know there is a lot of uncertainty regarding the next school year and what it will entail. As we continue to wait for updates from the CDC and our Government, I wanted to share with you the plan for Salem as of now. Salem is planning on having in-person school starting August 31st. We are currently creating a plan for what this will look like with the faculty and the School Board. We are planning on sending the plan out in the middle of July. We also continue to work on plans to go to Remote Learning again if need be. We want you to know that our primary plan is to have in-person school. Through all of this uncertainty, it is important to remember that we have a God who does not change. He has seen the entire plan of this pandemic and will use it for our good. This pandemic has created times that are hard for us to trust in His plan with all that our country is enduring. Summer begins June 21 but the staff is already getting ready for 2020-2021! For anyone who likes to prepare early, here is the 2020-2021 Salem School Supply List . More information on the school year will be coming in July. Blessings on your summer!!

VBS TO-Go-Bags Thank you to those of you who picked up your VBS bags on Sunday.  There are great activities in there to remind the children they are a Child of God!  If you would still like a bag for your children/neighbors there are extra bags left.  Just stop by Salem Lutheran church between 8:00a.m.-12:00pm.  to pick them up.

Dear Salem Family-- Originally we had scheduled our Vacation Bible School for the week of June 15-19. With the guidelines for staying "Safer at Home," we decided that we would not do our VBS in person this summer.  We still wanted the children of our community to have an opportunity to experience VBS, so a group of volunteers has put together "Salem VBS To-Go." The theme is I AM A CHILD OF GOD. “See the kind of love the Father has given us that we should be called children of God, and that is what we are! The world does not know us, because it did not know him.” 1 John 3:1 We are providing 2 days of VBS at home! VBS to-go bags will include a Bible reading, family Bible story sheet, craft, and activity ideas. In addition, grades 3-8 will have a special activity to complete with a reward!
