August School News

                                                               Salem  Salem School News 2021-2022 School Theme The theme for our upcoming school year is “Together in Christ” based on Ephesians 2:21-22. The verse reads, “In Christ the whole building is joined together… and in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives.” We are starting to put the artwork around school and on our documents. We are excited to continue building our Salem Family on the firm foundation of God’s Word and Christian love.    Introducing New Staff We are happy to welcome two (hopefully three) new teachers this school year! Tom Stob - Teacher in 3rd Grade, Athletic Director, Michelle Stob - Possible Part-time Teacher 5-8 Grade Tom is a native to the area, growing up in Star Prairie, WI, and attending school at Osceola Public School for grade school. He is a graduate of St. Croix Lutheran High School class of 2010. From there he went on to attend Martin Luther College in New Ulm,

Need Help Unloading New Teacher

Daniel and Kristi Bredendick have found a house in Deer Park and are preparing for their move. They are asking for help unloading their belongings. We will need a small group to help unload boxes on Friday, August 13th and a larger group to help unload furniture and some more boxes on Sunday, August 15th. Childcare Help Needed!

Tom and Michelle Stob are looking for someone to watch their two children ages 1 and 2.5 Monday- Friday during the school year. It would most likely be just mornings. If they don't get help with their child care, Mrs. Stob will not be able to teach for Salem.   If you are interested or know someone who can help them out please contact Mr. Klatt (rklatt@salemlutheran.org) or Tom (tstob@salemlutheran.org).

Don't Forget to Sign Up!

August Welcome Back Meet & Greet Monday, August 23 - 8am-12pm OR Tuesday, August 24 - 3pm-7pm We have two days set aside for parents to meet one-on-one with their child’s teacher (20-minute time slots). Students can bring their school supplies and see the classroom at the same time that parents and students will meet with the teacher. Please select a date and time from the sign-up below (Preschool families that are familiar with their child’s teacher and classroom do not need to sign up for a time if they don't think it is needed, just bring supplies on the first day of school). We are excited to continue building our Salem Family on the firm foundation of God’s Word and Christian love.  Staffing Update With the Brohns accepting the call to Farmington, New Mexico, this gave us two vacancies in the Middle School.  We have called Daniel Bredendick to serve as our 5th and 6th-grade teacher as well as our technology director.  He was serving in Fort Atkinson, WI, and recently became available for a call. His wife currently teaches at Lakeside Lutheran High School and his children are both grown. We are happy to tell you he has accepted our call and we look forward to him joining our teaching ministry team! The cu
