Don't Forget Visit Teacher Night This Wednesday!

Here are Important Dates to Note:
Preschool Families - This Wednesday, August 15, Visit with the Teachers. Two presentation sessions are available. Come at either 4:00 pmor6:00 pm. Plan to come for a presentation from Mrs. Grobe on all of the policies and procedures for the school year along with an introduction of our new staff. There will be time to meet your child's teacher and ask questions. This will be held upstairs in the church sanctuary.
K-8 Families - This Wednesday, August 15, 4:00-8:00 PM - Visit with the Teachers.  Each teacher will be stationed at a table in the Fellowship Hall/ Lunch Room.  Come any time from 4-8 pm to speak with your child's teachers.

PK-8 Families - Monday, August 20, 5:30-7:00 PM - Welcome Day
Parents and students should come to school to drop off supplies, verify tuition payment, set-up their lunch account, find their desks, and drop off any unfinished paperwork.

Athletic News

1.  Boys Soccer Coach needed

We are looking for a boys soccer coach at Salem this fall.  Practices will begin on September 5th from 3:45pm-5:15pm.  All practices are after school on Mondays and Wednesdays.  Games are on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  The season ends the beginning of October.  Please let Jessica Klatt know ASAP if you can help us out and coach this year.  Thank you.  Her email is  Or you can contact Salem Lutheran School office.

2.  Volleyball & Soccer Season

4th-8th grade boys are welcome to go out for Salem's soccer team.  4th-8th grade girls are welcome to join the girls volleyball team.  Due to the number of girls interested so far there will only be an A volleyball team.  Practices for soccer and volleyball will begin September 5th from 3:45pm-5:15pm.  They will continue every Monday and Wednesday until the beginning of October.  The first game is Tuesday, September 11th.  A full schedule will be available at meet the teac…

Dear Parents,

If you have a child in 4th-8th grade that is interested in playing soccer or volleyball, please contact Mrs. Klatt at by August 7th. This is your information packet for the 2018-2019 school year. Below are the forms which need to be completed before the beginning of the new school year. You may print and complete these forms and hand them in at Visit the Teacher Night or Welcome Night. We will have these forms available at these events if you prefer the option of completing them the night of your visit. Preschool News

Welcome to Salem! We are so excited for the 2018-2019 school year to begin. Here is some information on the preschool teachers here at Salem:

Jane Grobe has an Associate of Arts Degree from Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, WI. She also has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Martin  Luther College in New Ulm, MN. Jane has taught at  Salem since 2001. In addition to teaching in the 4 and 5-year-old preschool classroom, Jane is the director of Salem’s multi-room preschool program and is also a mentor teacher.  She loves catching up with students from her former classes on Facebook especially when they look back fondly on their school experiences.

Amy Gosch is a Milwaukee Wisconsin native with a Bachelors of Science degree in Education from Martin Luther College in 1999. Amy has joined our Salem team in 2018.  She is in charge of the 3-year-old classroom.  Her philosophy of teaching is that children learn through play and is very exci…
