We need your help!

Hi everyone-- We  need your help to make our Livestream possible.  Volunteers are needed to help with the Livestream video and slideshow.  It is a one-hour commitment once a month to once a quarter during the Saturday evening service.  Sunday service is available for slideshow help.  These are very user-friendly programs that can be run by anyone ages 13 to 99.  (This is a great opportunity for a youth and parent combo)  We are happy to show anyone interested to see if it is something you would like to help with.  Please consider helping us to ensure we are able to continue offering our Livestream services. Help is especially needed during Advent and Christmas. Contact Sara Shah at  sshah@salemlutheran.org   or 651-334-1901 with questions.

Preschool Parking

Dear Preschool Families, We need your help! Please do NOT park in the drive through area in front of school for drop off or for pick up of your preschooler. We need this area clear for K-8 families to stop for quick drop off or pick up. This is not a preschool parking area. Preschool families should park in the two available parking lots near the school entrance and walk their child in. We really appreciate your help making this a safer area and it also helps keep the traffic flow going for all of our families. Thanks so much for your help and blessings on your day!

Here is the latest update from our One Africa team--see what our chapel mission offerings are helping to support! Friends of Africa, Friends of Christ Read the most recent post from the WELS Friends of Africa blog Building God’s House in Malawi Dec 02, 2020 04:32 am |  shepherdroebke@gmail.com Rev. Stanley Daile and his family will live in a new house being built on the campus of the Lutheran Bible Institute in Lilongwe, Malawi Building God’s House in Malawi It’s been fun to watch the progress.  Standing on my front porch, I can look across the road to see the new house being built.  The house is being built on the campus of the Lutheran Bible Institute (LBI) in Lilongwe, Malawi.  Once it is completed, it will be a home for our newest LBI professor, Rev. Stanley Daile, and his family. At the beginning of this project, the ‘house’ was nothing more than an architectural drawing on a piece of paper.  It was only a nice idea that did not exist in reality, but then the workers came.  They

Salem Supporting Logan Loves

Hello Salem Family, For the past few years, Salem has supported those who are in need during the Christmas season instead of doing a gift exchange in the classroom.  This year, Salem will be donating to Logan Loves. This organization was founded by a family that was blessed with two monochorionic/monoamniotic twins. This meant that they would have many surgeries and hospital stays to deal with the complications of having this diagnosis. Logan (one of the twins) had many heart problems growing up and endured many surgeries and two heart transplants that kept him in the hospital for a while.  Logan Loves' mission is the following "During a time of illness, children don't always get to enjoy the comforts of home or the things they love to do or experience. The mission of Logan Loves is to bring joy and healing to kids and their families during their hospital visits. We carry out our mission by providing various products, events and services that Logan Loves either through pu

December Lunch Menu

Just a reminder that we are still under a free lunch grant offered by MDE. If you had set your TADS account up for withdrawals to fund your child's lunch account, these will again be suspended in December until the free lunch grant has officially ended. Cold lunch milk, snack milks and extra lunch milks are not covered under this program. We will still be charging .40 per milk for those orders. Please remember the one milk included with hot lunch is free and Kindergardeners also receive one free milk every day. We hope to post more information on how long this grant program will last soon. Please contact the school office if you have any questions. school.office@salemlutheran.org December Lunch Menu

COVID School Year Salem has had a few more COVID incidents, but are healthy besides those couple of incidents. We have had two classrooms have to quarantine and both will be back after Thanksgiving Break. We are blessed to have great families who are communicating with Salem’s staff about sickness and helping to keep Salem a safe environment for learning. Please remember that due to the Stillwater School District's plans to switch to distance learning, we will not have bussing available to or from our school starting Nov. 30. Please make sure to have transportation plans for your children by then. Christmas Charity Giving Every year instead of a gift exchange, the classes at Salem ask families to give to a charity to help those who may not have as much during the Christmas season. This is our way of sharing the blessings God has given us and like our theme for the school year says Let our Light Shine! More information about the charities and how we plan to donate will be comi

Please Don't Forget to Respond

Hello Salem Family, If you haven't already done so, please respond to the short survey below. Salem's School Board is preparing for the 2021-2022 school year and needs your help. They are looking at staffing needs for the upcoming year, and are asking you to fill out the following survey to tell them your intentions for the upcoming year. This is by no means a commitment one way or another, but helps to see what your thoughts are as we move into the next school year. This survey should take you less than 5 minutes to fill out. If you have filled this out already - no need to do it again. https://forms.gle/okbbkkU1hcH4kKna7 Thank you so much for your help!
