SPTO News

Hello Salem Family,

Three things from SPTO

1# - Many hands make light work! There are several exciting updates that are being considered to create a better staff and student experience. We need your help. It can be one-time or ongoing. Please pray and consider contributing your skills or financially to enrich the lives of the students, staff, and community at Salem. The SPTO is open to all of the Salem Community!

2# - Olympic Day:

We are looking for volunteers for Olympic Day, May 26 to help outside with each of our Olympic Stations. What skills do you need to help? A positive attitude, patience, and most importantly, you like to have fun! Watch for a sign-up link to be sent out next week or contact Diane in the school office to let us know you are available that day.

The SPTO met last evening and voted on having the Kona Ice Truck attend Olympic Day. In light of a difficult year and the many restrictions, we think this will be a fun way to add to the end of the year celebration. All CDC guidelines will be followed. This shaved ice treat is “smart snack compliant” and is “allergen certified”.

#3 Teacher Appreciation Week will be celebrated May 17-21. Coming soon, please check your child’s backpack with information on how you can participate or reach out to Meg Bicek at magrud@hotmail.com with questions.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Sherah Spark or Mr. Klatt. (sherahp@hotmail.com, rklatt@salemlutheran.org)

God’s blessings on the rest of your day!
