Change to Thursday, 5/20/21 Menu

 Dear Salem Families,

There will be a change to this week's lunch menu for Thursday, May 20. We will replace French toast with pizza. Here is what the pizza selections will be:

1) Cheese
2) Pepperoni
3) Sausage
4) Hawaiian

All served with a tossed salad, veggies, and fruit.

Update on Pastor Jake's status

Dear wonderful people of Salem, I was told many people were asking about me and figured I’d give an update on my health.  For those of you who don’t know, I have been experiencing problems with both of my legs.  Excruciating pain shoots through both legs (though the left one is usually worse) at almost all times.  My legs also can become very stiff so it is hard to walk.  I have been going to doctors who are trying to figure it out.  I went to a general practice doctor, then a physical therapist, then a chiropractor, and then a neurologist.  All of these doctors have tried various things within the extent of their abilities with very few results.  I have even had an MRI and an EMG (shock nerves to see how they respond and then put needles in muscles to test responses) with nothing abnormal showing.  However, there has been some progress.  It seems that I am slowly getting better with continual chiropractic care focusing on the tailbone and ...

First Bowling Match of the season

The first bowling match of the season is this Friday, April 6th.   The "A" and "B" teams will be competing at Concord Lanes in West St Paul.  The matches start at 6 pm.  All matches for the season have been added to the Salem google calendar.  A reminder that food and beverages are for sale at the lanes, so join us for an evening of fun!  Go Saints!

Don't Forget to Attend Fine Arts Gala this Thursday!

Salem Lutheran School’s Fine Arts Gala will begin promptly at 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 12. All those attending will meet in the church (everyone meets here first!) for instructions for the evening and for performances by the Jubilate Choir and the Salem School Band.  After that, further instructions will be given to give you information on what you will find at each event site, and for some sites, the approximate time of individual performances.  Art displays of each class’s featured artists and student art that are done in the style of the featured artist will be in the gym. Student extra-curricular art projects and Congregational art projects will be on display in the Fellowship Hall. Student music performances of vocal and instrumental solos and ensembles and piano solos will be in the Conference Room.
