Dyslexia DecodED

In honor of Dyslexia Awareness Month, Salem is hosting a viewing of the global dyslexia awareness event called Dyslexia DecodED.

Join us on Thursday, October 8th, at 5:30pm in the lunchroom to watch the presentation on Navigating Dyslexia. This is a wonderful opportunity for educators and parents to learn about dyslexia. Dyslexia is the most common learning difference affecting students in educational environments. We’ll get to learn some of the common misconceptions and barriers with Dr. Sally Shaywitz, professor & co-director of Yale Center for Dyslexia and Emily Hanford of American Public Media. Also, we will have Karoline Sames joining us at school.  She is a Salem parent that is also an Orton Gillingham trained tutor.  She will be available to answer questions about dyslexia.

Thursday, October 8th

5:30-7:00pm (Please arrive a few minutes early as the presentation may start promptly at 5:30)
