Child Care Needed 2019-2020

We have a family who needs daycare until 6pm next year on most weekdays. I am wondering if there is a family who would be interested in making arrangements with this family for childcare until then. This is beyond after school care which is why we are seeking help. The student will be in 1st grade next year. This will allow the family to keep their son enrolled at Salem. Please contact the school office or Mr. Klatt if you can help.

Final Round of MLC Meet Math Competition Complete for 2018-2019

Earlier this week our students in grades 5-8 finished the fourth and final round of the Martin Luther College Meet Math competition. Students are given six questions to complete within a 25-minute time limit. Calculators are allowed for this competition, but they often don't help due to the complexity of the problems. Congrats to all of our students for participating in this rigorous math event. Our Salem fifth and sixth-grade students are in the B-6 category, and our seventh and eighth-grade students are in the A-5 category. Categories are determined by school size. Meet Math is a service club at Martin Luther College that provides mathematics contests for students in grades 5-12 who are enrolled in WELS or ELS schools. Path of Peace Christmas Would you like to hear the story of Christmas told in a unique way? This Saturday at 5 PM we'll take a multimedia journey to The First Christmas . Our worship team will lead us in some powerful, yet familiar Christmas songs. We will have a chance to hear four individuals describe how God used them to change the world. Christmas Eve--Service of Lessons & Carols This time of year is the darkest we face. Sometimes our lives mirror that darkness. Let's learn a little more about the light in the darkness that brings hope to Christmas. Candlelight services at 5 & 11 PM. Christmas Day Christmas is a day for family and for celebrating. May School News

School News Tuition Assistance Endowment Fund The School Board is collecting money for the Endowment Fund. We received a grant to give us $20,000 in matching funds from Antioch. We currently are at $13,000. This fund’s purpose is to create an account that the school can use to give families who want to send their children to Salem but cannot afford it. We will only be able to use the interest of this account to give to families. We are hoping to raise $30,000 more for either the endowment fund or the normal Tuition Assistance account. Mr. Klatt will give another presentation in April about the Endowment Fund and its purpose. If you would like your questions answered sooner, feel free to talk to any of the School Board members or Mr. Klatt.
