Third Round of MLC Meet Math Competition Complete

This week our students in grades 5-8 finished the third round of the Martin Luther College Meet Math competition. You can see our school and individual student results and rankings by visiting https://portal.mlc-wels.edu/meetmath/results/view. Our Salem fifth and sixth-grade students are in the B-6 category, and our seventh and eighth-grade students are in the A-5 category. Categories are determined by school size.

The final test for this year is the week of February 25.

Meet Math is a service club at Martin Luther College that provides mathematics contests for students in grades 5-12 who are enrolled in WELS or ELS schools. This club also maintains school and individual statistics that are the basis for various awards presented at the end of the school year.                                                           School News 2018-2019 As you can see from the picture of the solar panels that were hinstalled on our building last year, the focus of our church and school is seen in the cross these panels form. It also is a beautiful picture to share with you as we begin our school theme for the year, "Built on the Rock!". Our theme is taken from Matthew 7:24-25 , " Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Christmas Service Plans

Hello Salem Families, The following is a Christmas service update. Instead of the K-8 students having one service on December 15th for sharing the story of our Savior’s birth, we will be having the Christmas story spread out over our three midweek Advent services. Please set these times aside on your calendar and note the time of 4pm for them all: Grades 5-8: Wednesday, December 1st @ 4pm in the church sanctuary Grades K-1: Wednesday, December 8th @ 4pm in the church sanctuary Grades 2-4: Wednesday, December 15th @ 4pm in the church sanctuary These services will be live-streamed and posted on Youtube for family members who can’t make it or would like to rewatch it.
