The Salem Saints had a great first game last Friday night against King of Grace! Both teams worked and fought hard. The Girl's B team lost 11-31 and the Boy's A team won 31-23. Both teams were a lot of fun to watch. They learned and grew from these games and are ready for the rest of their season! Next week we will have another home game on Friday, but only the Boy's A team will be playing. They play Belle Plaine at 6:30pm at Salem. We are set for volunteers for this week, which is awesome! We still need families to sign up for other volunteer spots throughout the season. During the first ten minutes of the game, our boys executed the offensive plays with high efficiency, which propelled us to an early 17-3 lead. However, from the last few minutes of the first half until the final buzzer sounded, Berea consistently knocked down perimeter jump shots that allowed them to outscore our Saints by an eight point margin. Although this game was not one of our cleaner performances of the season, our guards handled Berea’s late-game full court press with poise, enab...
