Middle School Christmas Gift Exchange

Dear parents of Salem middle school students,

In the past, students would exchange names and buy a gift for one another. We won’t be following that practice this year, but instead, we are going to think of those who are in need. In Acts 20:35, St. Paul reminds us that “we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”

Our children have so many things to be thankful for, blessings too numerous to count. To help them recognize how blessed they are and demonstrate our love for our Savior this year the class will be donating gifts to the Children’s Hospital.

These gifts will be given to families who have children in the hospital this Christmas season. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to show Christian love to others during a difficult time in their lives. Our students decided on purchasing gifts as a group:
Playdoh, rattles and teething rings, toy cars, bubbles, nail supplies, and more.

Each child is asked to bring $5 to put toward these group gifts. Gifts can be brought to school any time through December 17.

Please use the links below if you would like to donate above and beyond these gifts.

Also, our students will be having a small party on December 21st. Teachers will plan with the students the drinks and snacks they can bring for the party.

Thank you so very much for supporting families who may be struggling this Christmas Season. What a wonderful way for us to shine our Light into this sin-darkened world and share with our children a spirit of giving this Christmas Season. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Serving the Savior with you,

Mr. Klatt
Mrs. Brohn
Mr. Scharf
