Grades 1-7 Singing on Sunday

Correction! Grades 1-7 are singing on Sunday for the 8th-grade graduation service. Kindergarten is not expected to attend. Students in Grades 1-7 are scheduled to sing Salem’s theme song for this year, “Fix Your Eyes on Jesus”, at the beginning of the 9:30 service on Sunday, June 3.  This is the graduation service for our eighth-grade students. Students will not need to practice the song before the service, they already know the song. They should just come to church, sit in the pews, and then come up front when it is time to sing the song. They will sing the song right at the beginning of the service after the pastor gives his welcome.  When they finish the song, students will go back and sit with their family or they may leave if the family is not staying for the service.

Getting Ready for 2018-2019

The first item to tell you is we are excited to start using a company called TADS to help manage our student information and to help you manage your tuition costs. We previously used to TADS to evaluate financial assistance needs but we will now also use them for storing information, lunch, and tuition billing. In order to do so, you will soon be contacted by TADS via email to allow you to set up your enrollment for next year.  Please complete this enrollment for each child you will have at Salem as soon as you receive it so we can finalize and confirm all information is accurate for next year!  You should be receiving this within the week. When you enter your enrollment in TADS, having your contact information as well as these items below on hand will make the process much easier for you: At least two emergency contacts for your student with their phone numbers. Preschool families should have at least two pick up people as well and have a phone and ad...

Update on SCRIP!

We are enhancing our current SCRIP program to allow you to order your SCRIP on your own if you choose.  We will still do regular orders on the 2nd & 4th Monday mornings, but, now you have the option to place your own order.  The other change will be a flat 20% fee for shipping on all orders.  This will cover the shipping and administrative fees involved in the orders.  For example, if you earn $5.00 from your order, Salem will keep $1 to cover any costs.  We will monitor this fee and may lower if possible.  We are also offering to apply your profits to your child's lunch account as well as tuition.  We are also adding an option to direct your profits to church.  We are excited about the changes and hope you are as well.  Contact any SPTO member or the church office for more information. There is also more information in the attachment below. Thanks! SCRIP Enrollment Information

The Salem Saints had their final bowling tournament on Saturday, May 19th.  While neither team advanced very far in the tournament, the "A" and "B" teams had good seasons overall.  Both Tyler and Eli were recognized for the highest fill percentage (meaning most spares or strikes per frame) for our teams.  Overall the Saints had 96 strikes and 152 spares this season!  We thank Tyler for his leadership and will miss him next year as he moves on to high school.  The future for Salem bowling looks great and we hope all the young players return next year!
