Final Round of MLC Meet Math Competition Complete for 2018-2019

Earlier this week our students in grades 5-8 finished the fourth and final round of the Martin Luther College Meet Math competition. Students are given six questions to complete within a 25-minute time limit. Calculators are allowed for this competition, but they often don't help due to the complexity of the problems. Congrats to all of our students for participating in this rigorous math event. Our Salem fifth and sixth-grade students are in the B-6 category, and our seventh and eighth-grade students are in the A-5 category. Categories are determined by school size. Meet Math is a service club at Martin Luther College that provides mathematics contests for students in grades 5-12 who are enrolled in WELS or ELS schools. Do You Know About SCRIP???

Salem's SCRIP Program Many of our school families use the Scrip program to help fund their child's tuition or contribute to our school's tuition assistance or food service program. Scrip is just another way to pay for everyday purchases using gift cards in place of cash, checks, and credit cards.  You can purchase gift cards from us at face value, and we order those cards from Great Lakes Scrip Center at a reduced price. The difference is a rebate for you or our school.  Great Lakes Scrip Center offers over 300 of the country's biggest brands, including grocery, department stores, gas stations, restaurants, hotels, home improvement, and more. You can put your shopping dollars to work for you! Print your own  Scrip order forms , or pick them up at the church entrance or in the school office.
